In one of my earlier posts, I mentioned having the opportunity to work with long time acquaintance, Jim Perrick in testing and modifying his lure - the Thunderhead (at the time we were calling it the "Wobblelure"). Jim came to upstate New York from his home in Utah to fish with us and test his lure on fish that he doesn't normally see in Utah. While he was here we made an all-day float in small boats down the Grasse River with Dave Swanson and with Matt Hartman running the camera. We caught lots of bass that day (nearly 100) - and in fact had several muskies hit on the bass that we were bringing in during the course of the day. This was one muskie, however, who decided that the lure on the end of Dave's line was more enticing than the bass chasing it! You will note that he was tough to get in since no one thought to bring any kind of net or cradle on the float.
